Took both kids to the Rutiz Farm in Arroyo Grande Saturday. The selection of produce is pretty good, better quality than you will find at the Commissary. I picked up some rainbow carrots, snap peas, strawberries, blueberries & tomatoes. I'm trying to make the transition to natural foods. For example, pesticide free. Not just organic because to be certified organic you are still permitted to us pesticides as long as they too are organic. Rutiz Farm is pesticide free and I am pretty sure they are organic, just lacking the seal of approval from the USDA.

They looked so pretty before I cooked them. I need to take some lessons on veggie prep, we didn't eat any veggies other than corn on the cob and mashed potatoes when I was growing up. They turned out ok, edible but nothing I'll be serving to guests.
I tried buying organic cows milk for my husband and he refused to try it. Samantha is on rice milk for her allergies, our commissary doesn't carry organic rice milk. Its hard enough for them to carry regular enriched rice milk.
